Jessica’s Bio

April 27th, 2009

Jessica Kunkel has spent most of her adult life in college, either as a student or an instructor. She completed an M.A. in U.S. History at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, in 2004, the same place she finished her B.A., in 2002. Jessica taught freshman history courses at Texas Tech University for three years following the completion of her M.A.

Her advice-giving career began during her graduate studies at Sam Houston; as a teaching assistant, Jessica served as the liaison between students and their professors. She became the unofficial student counselor of the history department as students began soliciting her attention for academic, social, and financial issues in college. As her reputation spread, questions poured in about everything from college romance to nationwide graduate school options.

Jessica answers all questions having to do with college, in a straightforward, honest manner. If she does not immediately know the answer, she will conduct extensive research in order to find the most accurate, thorough answer to any given question. Although not all questions will be published, each will be answered personally.  Email your college-related questions to: advice@jessicakunkel.com.
